Applications are invited for Admission to MSc and MPhil degree programmes offered in the University Departments of Thiruvalluvar University Vellore, for the Academic Year 2009 - 2010.

Last Date for Issue and Submission of completed Application Forms (except Ph.D): 15.07.2009

Application Cost:
In Person: For M.Sc & M.Phil Rs.200/- (General) and Rs.100/- (Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates) and for Ph.D Rs.260/-
By Post (includes postal charges): For M.Sc & M.Phil Rs.250/- (General) and Rs.150/- (Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates) and for Ph.D Rs.310/-

Mode of Payment (DD):
Demand Draft in favour of "The Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University" payable at Vellore from any Nationalised bank. The name and address of the candidate should be written in the reverse of the demand draft.
Application Forms:

• In Person: Application form can be obtained on payment by Demand Draft at the The Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore - 632 004.
  
• By Post: Application form can also be obtained by post by sending Demand Draft along with a requisition letter and a self addressed slip to The Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore - 632 004.
  

Admission Procedure:

• For Ph.D, admission is made during 4 sessions in a year [i.e. July, October, January and April] and the candidates should submit the applications on or before the first working day of the respective session.
  
• In the case of M.Phil Courses in the affiliated colleges, the filled in application should be sent directly to the Principal of the College concerned and not to The Registrar of Thiruvalluvar University. In the case of M.Phil Courses in the University Departments, the filled-in applications should be sent directly to the Department concerned.
  
• Admission will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination and marks secured in the entrance test. Candidates should take the Entrance Test conducted by the Affiliated Colleges / University Departments where the candidate proposes to undergo M.Sc / M.Phil / Ph.D Courses.
  

The completed application forms for M.Sc and M.Phil degree programmes should reach "The Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore - 632 004" or sent directly to the Principal of the College concerned on or before 15.07.2009.
