Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering: This department has excellent infrastructure in terms of laboratories, classrooms, semeinar halls etc. The department has all the labs that are needed for the students to do experiments as per the syllabus prescribed by the Anna University. The Department has excellent teaching faculty who are a blend of knowledge and experience. The curriculum consists of both basics and advanced topics of ECE with strong mathematical and computer foundations. Special subjects like neural network, fuzzy logic, artificial intelligence and satellite communication system are taught as electives. The following labs are available , Digital system design and signal processing lab, communication lab, Microprocessor lab, Microwave and optical communication lab, Electronic devises and circuits lab and RF lab.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering: The department offers in depth understanding of electrical machines, power electronics, power systems, electronics instrumentation, EHV transmission and micro controllers. Well-qualified and experienced faculty is an asset to the department. The department has the following laboratories: Power Electronics, Control Systems, Electric Circuits, Power System Simulation, Electrical Machines, Measurement and Instrumentation.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering: In today's life, Computer is touching almost every sphere of human activity. Which is why we at Agni College of Technology (ACT) provide students meticulous practical training besides a sound theoretical background. The department has: Six exclusive air-conditioned computer centres well equipped with the latest computers, requisite softwares and other peripherals; An Internet Laboratory with 4 Mbps broadband connection; Wi-Fi enabled campus and Highly qualified and tech-savvy faculty members are there to make learning quite an enjoyable experience.

Department of Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical Engineering is one of the major activities in the engineering profession and its principles are involved in the design, study, development and construction of nearly all of the physical devices and systems. Continued research and development have led to better machines and processes helping the mankind.
The department of mechanical engineering was started in the year 2010, the department is offering B.E in Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 60 students. The students of this course are taken through all the fundamental concepts of mechanical engineering such as, thermal science and engineering, manufacturing engineering, metallurgical engineering, towards cutting edge technologies like computational fluid mechanics, computer aided manufacturing, computer aided design, metrology and measurements, statistical techniques in modern manufacturing, finite element analysis & methods, industrial heat transfer, design of machine elements, design of transmission system, kinematics & dynamics of machine and production and operations management systems, etc. The department posses good mixture of faculty members from various disciplines such as thermal science, energy engineering, manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, design engineering etc. The department frequently organizes national and international level symposiums, conferences and seminars. Students are permitted to go for industrial visit and industrial project, so that they get exposure to industrial organizations. Apart from regular curriculum, the department arranges guest lectures, carrier and personality development programs that help the student to be competent and ethical professional in engineering & technology.

Department of Civil Engineering: Civil Engineering, one of the core Engineering course, is introduced in this college from the academic year 2010 to make the institution on par with foreign institutions. The demand for Civil Engineers is very high because of the alround infrastructure development in our country. To satisfy the demand, the college has planned to start the course and to produce Quality Civil Engineers needed for our Country.
The broad areas covered in this programme are Structural Engineering, Architecture, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management and Transportation Engineering. State-ofthe art laboratories are set up for each broad area and practical training will be given right from marking of a building to the testing of materials like concrete, cement, wood, etc.

Department of Information Technology: The world is now witnessing an Information Technology boom. In fact, IT sector is the fastest growing sector across the globe. The scope of Information Technology has grown considerably with the new trends in Embedded Technology, The IT department of the College, is capable of providing the finest set of training packages, assisting the students to excel in the industry. The department has: Two exclusive state of the art IT Labs with all requisites; Exclusive Internet Laboratory with 4 Mbps broadband connection and Staff members with good academic qualification and industry experience.

Department of Master of Computer Applications: The college has got approval to start Post Graduate course M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications) by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi after their detailed inspection of all the exclusive facilities created for this new course.
This department has two fully air conditioned computer centers with upto date sofwares, systems and other peripherals; An internet Laboratory with 4Mbps broadband connection and Wi-Fi internet connectivity are available round the clock; All the MCA students have been provided with Laptop computers; Staff members have excellent academic qualifications coupled with industrial / academic experience.

Department of Master of Business Administration: In the academic year 2008, the department of Management studies was started with an objective to develop managers for an integrated understanding of all business functions.
The rigorous curriculum provides an in-depth understanding of the operational and strategic aspects of management. Which is why it has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University. The staff members of this department are well qualified, dedicated and feel responsible to invoke the bright future for all the students; The department has excellent classroom atmosphere. All our M.B.A. students are provided with study halls and libraries with a complete set of management text books, reference books and business journals; The managerial qualities of our students are nurtured by organising management meets in both inter college levels and state levels; Unique dress code is maintained for M.B.A. students with blazers; Seminars, Guest Lectures, Industrial Visits and in plant training are arranged in every semester for the knowledge based improvement of the students; Students will be placed in well branded organizations through campus interviews.

Workshop: The college has a well equipped workshop to teach the basics of engineering functions to the students. All the basic equipments needed for the fundamentals of engineering like, fitting and assembly, carpentry, smithy, welding, foundry etc are available. A team of experienced faculty helps the students for effective learning in this area.

Library: We know the fact that the Library is the heart of any academic institution. Which is why we have one of the biggest libraries in state. It is well furnished with easy accessible book racks and study tables. Our library is literally an information ocean which has got a vast collection of books of all types like textbooks, reference books, general knowledge books, guides on career development, etc. There is a collection of more than 18,000 volumes on all topics and titles. The library adds about 5,500 volumes of books every year. The library subscribes to various national and international technical and other journals. All newspapers and periodicals of general interest are also available in the library. The library also provides facilities like reading room, reference section, internet and photocopying facilities.

Hostel: The college has its own hostels in the permanent building, which are another 'home' away from home, for the convenience of out-station and other students who want to concentrate on their studies. Separate hostel facility is available for boys and girls. Staying in the hostel is optional. The rooms are self-contained for comfortable stay and the students are provided with all amenities for their study and peaceful stay. Resident tutors and wardens are available in the hostel for guidance. There is an exclusive mess adjacent to the hostel with separate dining halls for boys and girls. The mess provides wholesome nutritious food prepared in hygienic condition.

Transport: The college has its own fleet of buses connecting the campus with different points of Chennai and suburbs for the benefit of the students and staff.
