Profile
St. Joseph Educational
Trust was founded in 1992 by a group of like
minded Philanthrophists with a mission to develop Educational
Institutions to provide quality education from Primary
level to University level.
In pursuit of the above vision, St. Peter's Engineering College was established in 1993 with the objectives.
The Management is ably assisted by Directors, Principal and Deans who have decades of experience in highly reputed Academic Institutions and striving hard to make SPEC an outstanding institution.

Infrastructure
The College campus is spread over 32.36
acres with a built up area of 54,000 sq.m
LIBRARY: SPEC has very good automated central library. It has a collection of 45,351 volumes in 16,407 titles. Knowing the importance of journals, it subscribes for 73 international and 103 national journals. It also subscribes for 88 magazines. Every year 2000 books are added to the stock.
SPEC has taken up the Institutional membership in the professional societies and receives their magazines. The institutional library memberships of SPEC facilitate students and faculty to borrow books and journals from libraries of IIT (Chennai), Anna University and DELNET, New Delhi. To inculcate the habit of reading, one library hour is allocated to each class every week.
HOSTEL: Excellent hostels, seperate for boys and girls with single, double and triple rooms with attached bath rooms and dormitory types are available. The hostel is furnished with library, recreation halls and indoor games. Also, they have very hygienic kitchens with steam cooking which provides healthy and tasty food on a dividing basis.
TRANSPORT: Being located very near to the suburban railway station of Annanur, many students utilize the train services for commuting from their houses. To help the other students, the college is plying 15 bushes to connect different parts of the city to the college.

Placement
Placement cell functions effectively and
has identified good number of job opportunities to students
in all fields every year. Under the guidance of a Senior
Prof (HRD), Special coaching is given on personality development,
communication skills, group discussions, to prepare the
students for interviews. Number of campus interviews are
arranged and a good number of students have secured placements
in premier companies. Placement cell arranges for the
placements of pased out students also. In St. Peter's
Engineering College students can confidently avail the
good opportunity to secure employment and can bring laurels
to their parents and to the institution.
