Application Cost:
In Person: Rs.600/- (General) and Rs.300/- (Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates)
By Post: Rs.650/- (General) and Rs.350/- (Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates)

Mode of Payment (DD):
Demand Draft in favour of "The Director (Admissions), Anna University Tiruchirappalli" payable at Tiruchirappalli from any Nationalised bank on or before 30.06.2009. The name and address of the candidate should be written in the reverse of the demand draft.
Application Forms:

• In Person: Application form can be obtained on payment by Demand Draft from Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli - 620 024.
  
  
• By Post: Application form can also be obtained by post by sending Demand Draft along with a requisition letter and a self addressed slip to The Director (Admissions), Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli - 620 024.
  
  
• Through Website: Application Form can be downloaded from the website www.tau.edu.in and send the application along with Demand Draft.

General Eligibility for Ph.D:

• Master's Degree of this University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to in the fields of study notified from time to time by this University. Specific Educational Qualifications are given below.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology of this University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to in the fields of study with a minimum of 15 Years of R & D Experience in National research laboratories / Public sector undertakings and with minimum of three publications in referred journals / two patents in the last five years.
• A minimum of 55% percent marks / CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50 percent marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale, in the case of SC / ST candidates). For M.A (English) Degree holders including SC / ST applicants a minimum of 50 percent marks is necessary.
• The above Clause does not apply if the qualifying degree is M.S (By Research) of this University or recognized as equivalent.

General Eligibility for M.S (By Research):

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / M.Sc in Science of this University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this University. Specific Educational Qualifications are given below.
• A minimum of 55% percent marks / CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50 percent marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale, in the case of SC / ST candidates). For M.A (English) Degree holders including SC / ST applicants a minimum of 55 percent marks is necessary.

The completed application forms should reach "The Director (Admissions), Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli - 620 024" on or before 30.06.2009.
